#brianwilliamsmemories: MISREMEMBERING BRIAN WILLIAMS!

This is what you get for telling tall tales- specially coming from a high profile anchorman like NBC's Brian Williams on live NEWS TV at that!

Williams, the anchor of the "NBC Nightly News," apologized on Wednesday for multiple claims over the years that he'd been aboard a helicopter that was "forced down after being hit by an RPG" on March 24, 2003. Indeed, a helicopter was forced down by enemy fire- but Williams wasn't on it as his chopper arrived about an hour later and only landed next to the damaged one.

What turned out to be an outright LIE about taking enemy fire during the Iraq War prompted the creation by some netizens of the hashtag: #BrianWilliamsMemories- from which Williams now is truthfully actually taking on live on line enemy fire from netizens all over.

#BrianWilliamsMemories hashtag is still trending wherein tweeters "reimagines" Williams reliving other "accomplishments"- memories -- just like the Iraq incident -- ALL of course hilariously made up!

Here are a few:

from USATODAY.net
The time he reported from the moon.

The time he lost to Jesse Owens during the Berlin Olympics...

The time he covered the Crimea Conference with Roosevelt Churchill and Stalin..

The Crimea Conference a held February 4–11, 1945, was the World War II meeting of the heads of government of the United States, the United Kingdom and the Soviet Union, represented by President Franklin D. RooseveltPrime Minister Winston Churchill and Premier Joseph Stalin, respectively, for the purpose of discussing Europe's post-war reorganization.

The time he was party to the parting the Red Sea.....

"And I said, 'yo Moses, are you sure about this sea-parting thing?', but he went right ahead"

His role in a key World War II battle ...
... and his work as a military strategist from way back when.
